Our Purpose

An Unbreakable Bond

Approximately one in ten homeless or vulnerably housed people in Canada has a companion animal. For these individuals, pets play an extremely important role in their daily lives, providing stability, comfort and companionship. In return, these animals are often taken better care of than their owners.

Unfortunately, many shelters are unable to accommodate pets due to health and safety concerns - forcing individuals to abandon their pets in order to get the help they need. Many people will choose to sleep on the streets with their pets, rather than go into a shelter without them.

We believe people should be able to get the help they need without abandoning the only one who stayed with them while homeless. We donate part of our profits to the Fred Victor’s Bethlehem United Shelter, the only long-term shelter in Toronto that allows pets to accompany their owners.
