Bake their very First Birthday Cake

Let's forget about Instagram and Pinterest for just a moment...
It's crazy that a couple of apps have created these unrealistic expectations on how we should celebrate our loved ones. That our baking is worthless if it can't be featured in a magazine.
No thanks. I'll take the homemade birthday cake. The cake that's a little wobbly, but made with love. I want to celebrate birthday traditions crafted by my family, not dictated by apps.
More memories, less aesthetics.
When your baby grows up and you find photos of their first birthday, what's the first thing you'll look at? The cake? I doubt it. Let's flip the focus to what really matters. Bake, don't bake. Do whatever causes you less stress so you can be present in the moment. Seriously.

"It doesn’t taste like a healthy recipe despite being low in sugar. Moist and dense but still fluffy. I like it as much as my one year old. I also appreciate the easy to follow directions and format of the recipe card."
